New Yellow NELO

(From Campbell Walsh site:)

I have a new boat. The most obvious talking point is that it is a departure from my regular colour choice of blue, to a very bright yellow!

The 2nd is that I've changed design. After almost 4 years in my own designs of Logik and Mojo, I've changed to a boat that I've had no input into. I simply tried it, knew there was a lot of potential in it, so ordered one!

The 3rd point of interest is the fact the boat is manufactured by the biggest name in the world of sprint canoeing, Nelo. Nelo first ventured into the slalom market a few years ago and have been showing a much bigger interest since 2009. They've done a great job in creating a family of 3 new slalom K1 designs, from very little past experience in the sport. I'm using the 'M' (yes, they need to work on naming their boats!)

Details of the boats can be found on the Nelo slalom sub-site. Make sure you click on 'Colour Schemes' and check out the cool interactive colour designer!

This is actually my 2nd 'M'. I received my first about 5 weeks ago, and raced it at the Euro Champs in Bratislava. Not many people noticed as it was the exact same colour as my old boat. I've been waiting for a 2nd one, with a smaller tail, which arrived in Nottingham a few days ago. Getting a new design to be cut to the right size always takes a bit of trial and error.

The new boat is awesome. I can't wait to try it out in it's first race... the World Champs here in Tacen!
