Tacen Day 3
Saturday, September 11, 2010
One more sunny day in Tacen, the crowd on the stands was unbelievable and noisy! Ear plugs are a must any time a Slovenian paddlers comes down the course, what a great atmosphere.
Today took place C2 and K1 Women finals.
Canoe Slalom is all about the moment, and how the athletes react to the unexpected and today the level of the water and the dificulty of the course took that to a new level, with many upsets and surprises keeping the suspense till the last run!
In the end the athletes that can manage to cope with the pressure and hang on even when things don't go the right way, are the ones that get the best results, Fiona Pennie GBR did exactly that after 2 "not great" runs today she still managed to get 8th in the World, in the final she actually had a 50 sec penalty (missing gate nº4 the one closer to the camera).
Tomorrow K1 and C1 Men, so a lot more action and thrill from Tacen.
